The Barcelona New Year Dance Festival is back once again, ready to farewell this 2025 and welcome the new year!
In this 9th Edition, that will be held from December 27 to 31, we will be fortunate to have two outstanding professionals who have been investigating movement and sharing their practice all over the world for more than a decade: Sol Vázquez (dancer, creator, partnering teacher) and Luca Pacella (dancer, Contact Improvisation and partnering teacher).
As in previous editions, every afternoon at the end of the workshops, the room will become a jam space open to both Festival participants and the rest of the community of practitioners from Barcelona and its surroundings. In total there will be 4 days of Workshops and Jams followed by the New Year’s Eve Dinner and a party to live the last hours of this year to the fullest and turn over a new leaf in 2026. Simultaneous translation English/Spanish will be provided for both workshops.
Due to the dimensions of the space, for this edition there are a total of 30 SPOTS AVAILABLE. If you feel the calling to be part of this, make sure you reserve your spot using the form placed at the bottom of this page!
The chosen center is Espai Cosmos Poblenou, a multidisciplinary space used for activities related to creativity and personal development located in the Poblenou neighborhood (Barcelona), ten minutes from the beach with a surface area of 240 sqm.

For logistical reasons, lunch will not be included in the Festival. Even so, you can bring a tupperware, heat it in the microwave if you need it, and sit down to eat in a communal space a few meters from our location or try some restaurants in the area. Contact us for more information.
Every afternoon at 6pm there will be and assortment of fruit and snacks to recover energy and join the jam.
If you need accommodation during the Festival, we recommend using this Telegram channel that brings together a great deal of the Contact Improvisation community in Barcelona. Ara en Moviment does not manage this channel nor is it responsible for the accommodation of its participants or the logistics derived from it.
